He is survived by: his daughter Krystle Merritt; his son-in-law Jim Merritt; his grandchildren, Joseph, Bailey and Damien; his siblings, Mark Loyd of Louisiana and Michelle Johnston of Louisiana; his brother-in-law Darren Johnston; and his nieces and nephews, Cari Smith, Rachel Gailla, Lance Smith, Josh Smith and Patrick Smith. He is also survived by cousin, and great- nieces, and great-nephews.
