It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mervis Johnson Jr. (Bogalusa, Louisiana), who passed away on September 3, 2021, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Mervis Johnson, Sr. and Geraldine Barnes Johnson; his grandsons, Tommy Johnson, Roger Bickham, Jr., Josh Brumfield and Chase Johnson; his great grandchildren, Machi Johnson and Raymond Johnson III; and his siblings, Dwright Johnson, Tommy Johnson and Ozella Johnson Causey.
He is survived by: his former spouse Almae Johnson; his son Tommy Johnson (LaKisha); his stepdaughter Tina; his wife Annie Lewis; his children, Raymond Johnson, Walter Johnson and Carolann Johnson; and his siblings, Rosella Pittman, Joann Newberry, Barbara Peiker, Paul Johnson, Janice Simmons, Lenora Hollimon, Bernadine Johnson, Shelia Johnson and Willie Johnson. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
