She was predeceased by: her husband Richard Tynes; her parents, Vencie Applewhite and Hazel Applewhite; and her siblings, Ophelia Averette, Willie Mae Jenkins, Meita Pigott, Neita Varnado, Arthur Ray, Austin, Albert and Wayne Applewhite.

She is survived by: her brother Louis Applewhite; her sisters-in-law, Helen Applewhite, Carolyn Applewhite and Syrenia Applewhite; her nephew Billy; and her niece Sue Hines. She is also survived by family.
