She was predeceased by: her husband Lavelle Alford; her mother Lessie Dunbar; her brother Sam; her children, LaVerna, Deborah and Kenneth Alford; her grandson Seabrom Way; and her great grandchild Nyshell Petree.
She is survived by: her children, Leslie Adams of Baltimore, MD., Viola Alford of Gautier, MS., Ethel Willis (Kenneth) of West-Warrenton, N. C., Pearlie Alford of Bogalusa, LA, Shelley Henderson of Matthews, N. C., Jo-Anna Smith (Arthur) of Waterburg, CT. and Leonard Alford of East Haven, CT.; and her godson Kenneth N. Peters of Bogalusa, LA. She is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
