It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Gary Rushing of Bogalusa, Louisiana, who passed away on September 13, 2021, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Dorothy Lynell Lewis Rushing and James Monroe Rushing; his sisters, Sharon Kay Rushing Magee (Terry) and Sandra Ellen Rushing Schiefley (Chuck); and his son Todd Schubert (Martha).

He is survived by: his children, Julie Grenuck of Florida, Terri Nicholas (Chris) and Mason; his wife Joan Pounds; his children, Kristy DuBois of Columbia, MS and Tadd Rushing (Liz) of Bogalusa; and his grandchildren, Caleb, Noah DuBois, McKenna and Kinsley Rushing.
