He was predeceased by: his parents, Rudolph Adams and Stazzie Adams of Isabel, LA; the mother of his children Elta Ezell; his brothers, Elwin Adams, Elbert Ray Adams and Russell Adams of Isabel, LA; and his brother-in-law Roy DiVittorio.
He is survived by: his caregiver Sandra Terrell (Jeff) of Tylertown, MS; his son Richard Adams of Metairie, LA; his grandchildren, Joe Varnado (Chelsea) of Foley, AL, Justin Terrell (Carla) of Livingston, LA, Hannah May (Brian) of Sandyhook, MS, Austin Thomas (Haley) of Springfield, LA and Jacob Adams of Titusville, FL; his great grandchildren, Sydney Varnado, Paisley Terrell, Brayden Terrell, Caysen Graves, Riggins Graves, Weston Harvey, Rylee May, Grayson May, Drake Thomas and Monroe Thomas; his sisters, Pat Hunt (Howard), Barbara Phelps (Gary), Katherine Knight (William), Olivia DiVittorio and Frances Adams; and his close friend Bill Nichols of Franklinton, LA. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
