With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Helen Carnegie Roach of Bogalusa, Louisiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 2, 2025 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ward Carnegie and Elvie Carnegie; her husband Edward William Roach; her children, Ray Whitney, Theresa Bates and Ricky Roach; and her granddaughters, Tina Bouvier and Betsy Bouvier.
She is survived by: her children, Mickey Roach of Bogalusa and Victoria Jackman (Roach) of Auburn, AL.; her grandchildren, Melissa Miller (Mark), Edward Whitney of Iowa, Duane Whitney of Bogalusa, Jason Bates (Kimberly) of Gretna, LA, Jeff Roach (Alicia) of Magnolia, TX, Stephanie Bennett (Jason) of Mandeville, LA, Shelby Frick (Taylor) of Houston, TX and Ricky Roach, Jr. of Bogalusa, LA.; and her siblings, Oather, Ollie of Harold, LW, Margie, Myrtle, Mildred and Rose. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Viewing was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Brown-McGehee Funeral Home (610 Ave F, Bogalusa, LA 70427). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggests donations be made to Love Missionary Baptist Church, 1602 Sunset Drive, Bogalusa, LA 70427, directed to Charlene's Blessings Fund.
