She was predeceased by: her parents, Elbert Johnson and Hazel Johnson; her siblings, Willie M. Johnson and Patience C. Pelham; and her grandson Troy D. Brooks.
She is survived by: her brother Henry E. Johnson (Beth); and her children, Larry D. Brooks (Sharon) and Carolyn Brooks Jones. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
