He is survived by: his daughter Debra Stewart Purvis; his grandson Jacob Purvis; his siblings, Robert Stewart (Larissa) of Bogalusa, LA and Peggy Stewart of Bogalusa, LA; his sister-in-law Ping Stewart of Hammond, LA; and his nieces and nephews, Sheryl Stewart Slaven (Scott Slaven), Kimberly Stewart, Amy Stewart, Melissa Stewart, Marty Stewart, Bryan Stewart and Scott Stewart.
