He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Haynes-McKelphin of Chicago; his children, Derrick C. McKelphin of Houston, Minister Glennis E. McKelphin, Jr. of Hammond and TiQuana Morris of Bogalusa; his stepdaughters, Shadette Haynes of Chicago and Precious Spikes of Varnado, Louisiana; his godchildren, Landon and Lyrica Forbes; his grandsons, Terrick and Torian Weary; his siblings, Willie Ray McKelphin (Kewanna) of Bogalusa, Louisiana. and Larry McKelphin of Bogalusa, Louisiana.; his brothers-in-law, Sylvester Williams, Leonard Allen and Melvin Abram (Ophelia); his mother-in-law Estelle Jones; and his sisters-in-law, Susie Haynes, Emily Haynes, Juanita Spikes, Arline Weary and Doris Weary. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
