He was predeceased by: his parents, Ellzey "Dock" Varnado Mizell and Louise Manton Mizell; his brother Edward "Buster" Mizell; his sister-in-law Leatte Magee Mizell; his granddaughter Megan Crawford; and his parents-in-law, Renolda "Pat" Crawford and Ernest "Bert" Crawford.
He is survived by: his wife Carmen C. Mizell; his children, Gia Mizell May (Jeff), Chris Mizell Dixon (Tim), Ronald "Scott" Crawford (Julie), Annette Knight (Bill), Kasie Burr (Nicole Touchet) and Matthew Burr (Betsy); his grandchildren, Parish May, Bailey Croft, Brooke Truelove, Gabi Rogers, Catie, Madison Dixon, Dustin Crawford, Seager, Eden Knox, Briggs and Bregman Burr; his brothers, David Varnado Mizell (Mary) and Clarence Mizell; and his siblings-in-law, Kathy Crain (Ricky), Susan Crawford (Greg Harris), Joanne Smith (Jimmy) and Richard Crawford (Gail). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
