She was predeceased by: her parents, Julius Daniels and Anis Pittman; her husband Curtis Muse; her children, Lamar Newton, Author Newton and Nadine Newton; and her siblings, Jerry Daniels, Frank Daniels, Ardell Daniels, Mary Neil Daniels, Evon White, Laura Bell Penton, Shirley Taylor, Bessie Collins and Audrey Daniels.
She is survived by: her children, James Newton of Bogalusa, LA, Jewel Adams of Columbus, OH, Ruby Williams of Shreveport, LA, Frances Newton of New Brunswick, NJ, Stacy Crawford (Willie) of Columbus, OH and Gloria Peters (Darryl) of Bogalusa, LA; and her sisters, Eileen Daniels of Prentis and Margie Daniels of New Hebron Mississippi. She is also survived by nineteen grandchildren, fifty-four great grandchildren, eight great great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
