He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar H. Peterson and Eveline Bond Peterson; and his brothers, Oscar, Jesse, Leif and Charles Peterson.
He is survived by: his wife Sarah K. Peterson; his children, Darryl Peterson (Debbie) of Bogalusa, LA, Dr. Yancey Peterson (Chrishawn) of Roswell, NM, Krystal Peterson of Franklinton, LA and Kitch Peterson of Wichita, KS; his grandchildren, Daron Peterson, Flynt Peterson, Bryce Peterson, London Peterson-Gross, Zach Peterson, Gunnar Peterson-Gross, Azelin Aragon Peterson, Eziah Aragon Peterson, Noamiah Aragon Peterson, Adaliela Peterson and Landry Matthew Peterson; his great grandchild Lacey Rose Peterson; his nephews, Craig, Bill and Fred Peterson; and his niece Catherine Chick.
Due to the current Covid-19 situation, services will be private at Palestine Baptist Church Cemetery of Bogalusa, LA.
