It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Emmett Roland Cocran Jr. of Bogalusa, Louisiana, born in Picayune, Mississippi, who passed away on October 29, 2024, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though Emmett Roland may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Emmett Roland touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Emmett Cocran Sr. and Edith Cocran; and his son Glynn Cocran. He is survived by: his siblings, Patricia Ann Cocran, Brent Cocran, Frank Cocran (Starr), Eric Cocran (Trish) and Cindy Cocran Cartwright (Dan); and his nieces and nephews, Michael Earhart Jr., Ryan, Jen and Megan Cartwright.
A burial will be held on Monday, November 25th 2024 at 12:30 PM at the Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery (34888 Grantham College Dr, Slidell, LA 70460).
