It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edward D. Thomas (Bogalusa, Louisiana), born in Washington, Louisiana, who passed away on June 20, 2024, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Sampson Thomas and Edith Thomas; his son Edward "Eddie" D. Thomas; his brothers, William Thomas, Alton Thomas and Willie Fay Thomas; and his brothers-in-law, Roy Champagne and Michael Champagne.

He is survived by : his wife Andrea "Ann" Champagne Thomas; his daughter Renette Thomas Rollin (Raymond); his grandchildren, April Westmoreland (Lamar), Brittany Rollin Lipsey, Raymond Rollin, Jr. and Nikki Rollin (Prince Hill); his great grandchildren, Tyler Thibodeaux, Madison Lipsey, Peyton Lipsey, Hunter Rollin, Cameron Lipsey, Kellie Lipsy, Skye Rollin, Kayden Bradley, McKenzie Bradley, Kao Hill, Hunter Thomas, Aiden Thomas, Rivers Boutte and Reese Boutte; his great great grandchildren, Gabby Thibodeaux, Dawson Thibodeaux, Anna Lee Thibodeaux, Kaia Lipsey and Kendall Lipsey; his siblings, Samual Thomas (Cindy), Janice Thomas (Jack H.), Hilda Alford (Royce) and Cassandra Hines (Jeff); his siblings-in-law, Ronald Champagne (Brenda), Gary Champagne (Simone), Patricia Thomas, Linda Champagne and Anna Mae Champagne; and also, Danielle Picard, Lacie Thomas and Jacob Thomas (Kristen). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.

Visitation was held on Saturday, June 22nd 2024 from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the Brown-McGehee Funeral Home (610 Ave F, Bogalusa, LA 70427). A funeral service was held on Saturday, June 22nd 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
