We are sad to announce that on February 1, 2020, at the age of 83, Doy Elzie Cothern (Bogalusa, Louisiana) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Porter Cothern and Rosa Cothern; and his siblings, Ward Cothern, Walter Cothern, Alfred Sonny Cothern, Billy Cothern, Era Creel, Vera Galloway and Nora Lee Cates.
He is survived by: his children, Lisa Maddox (Terry) of Slidell, Ann Scott Barnes of Bogalusa, Robyn Kennedy of Covington and Blaine Williams (Don) of Lafayette; and his siblings, Harold Cothern of Natchez, MS and Irene Wilson of Kingswood, TX. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, any donations can be made to the First Baptist Church, Bogalusa, La.
