It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy Mae Thomas (Bogalusa, Louisiana), who passed away on January 29, 2020, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her sons, Bruce Herring (Peggy) of Bossier City, LA. and Rodney Thomas, Sr. (Dixie) of Franklinton, LA.; her sister Louise Byrd of Baton Rouge, LA.; her husband Edgar Thomas; her parents, Seaborn Hyde and Maybell Hyde; her son David Lee Herring; and her siblings, Lee Hyde, Paul Hyde, Sheldon Hyde, Ollie Dolan and Juanita Rogers. She was also cherished by ten grandchildren, twenty three great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and other friends.
