He is survived by: his wife Betty M. Stringfield; his children, David H. Stringfield, III (Nancy) and Ellen Stringfield Hobgood (Jon Sorey); and his grandchildren, Joshua Stringfield (Angela), Ginny Wilburn, William D. Hobgood (Shanna) and Michaela A. Hobgood. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great grandchildren, and friends.
