It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bishop Alfred Young Jr. (Bogalusa, Louisiana), who passed away on August 13, 2022, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Alfred N. Young, Sr.; and his brother Shelby Young. He is survived by: his uncle Steve; his wife Marie Young; his children, Shelby Young Woods (Shawn), Samone A. Young, Alfred N. Young, III (Joycelyn), James A. Young, Joshua E. Young and Marci Young Barnett (Marcus Sr.); his mother Freddie Young; and his siblings, Lorretta, Gilbert, Sheryl and Gregory. He is also survived by 28 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, a nephew, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
