It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Rose Pigott Hunt of Bogalusa, Louisiana, who passed away on July 26, 2022, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Charles V. "Charlie" Hunt, Sr.; her parents, Thomas Hamilton and Ruth Daniel Pigott; and her brother-in-law Virgil R. Hunt. She is survived by: her children, Charles "Chuck" Hunt, Jr. (Sharon) of Church Hill, TN and Brenda Hunt Hearn (Jim) of Wasilla, Alaska; her granddaughter Laura Hearn Joslin (Isaac) of Tempe, Arizona; her children, Lindsay Hearn Barrett (Barnabas), Phillip Hearn (Vanessa) of Timnath, Colorado, Tyler Hunt (Krissi) of Rutledge, Tennessee, Trevor Hunt (Mandy) of Dandridge, Tennessee, Adam Hunt of Dandridge, Tennessee, Kayleigh Clark (Brett Heffner) of Jefferson City, Tennessee, Layton Lucas, Melanie Hunt Beal of Bogalusa, Richard Hunt (Haley) of Bogalusa, Dustin O, Quin (Benita) of Bogalusa, Casey O, Mirandah Rogers (Pat) of Pine and Shannah O; and her brother William T. Pigott (Allenda). She is also survived by 21 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
The Pigott family cabin was donated to the Settlement in 1982 and is still supported by family members and friends.
