She was predeceased by: her husband Eddie Johnson; her parents, Ellis Holmes and Margarette Holmes; and her siblings, Mary Holmes-Hatcher, Janis Holmes and Jeffrey Holmes.
She is survived by: her brother James Holmes; her nephews, Travis L. Holmes of Munich, Germany, Darrin A. Holmes (Michelle) of Hammond, LA and John Downey, Jr. of Bogalusa; her great-niece La'Kenya Porter of Baton Rouge; her great-nephews, Darrin Holmes of Baton Rouge and John Downey, III of Bogalusa, LA; her cousins, Earl Bridges (JoAnn) of Bogalusa, LA and Michael Bridges (Tammy) of Baton Rouge, LA; and her aunts, Beulah Mae Cowart and Nell. She is also survived by numerous great-nieces, great-nephew, a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, many close friends and former coworkers.
