He was predeceased by: his parents, Steward E. Heard and Gertrude Rice Heard; and his brothers, Stewart Heard, Jr. and Danny K. Heard. He is survived by: his wife Mildred; his children, Lonnie R. Heard and Christopher Scott Heard; his grandchildren, Madison Lea Heard and James Wyatt Heard; and his sister Sheila Burgin (Jim).
