He was predeceased by: his parents, Margie Mae Rivere Overton and Marvin Overton; his siblings, Sharon "Pixie" Ruiz and Donnie Corbin; and his brother-in-law Bryan Fontenot.
He is survived by: his children, Jenae Stanley and Daniel Stanley (Amanda); his stepsons, Larry Fernandez (Sara) and Jacob Fernandez; his daughter-in-law Ashley "Marleen" Soto; his grandchildren, Colby, Brayden, Aubrey "Tootsie Roll", Isabel, Larry Jr., Jacob Jr. "Paco", Paris, Enjolie and Iliana; his brothers, James Stanley and Ted Stanley (Johanne); his former wife Cindy Thomas; and his nephews, Billy Ruiz and Marvin Ruiz. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
