She was predeceased by: her parents, Davis Young and Malina Brown Young; her husband Rev. Aaron Thompson; and her siblings, John, Charles, Jerry, Curtis, David Young and Pinkie Lee Young.
She is survived by: her daughter Shereta; her grandson Kewan Johnson of New Iberia, LA.; and her siblings, Delos Young, Orzia Garrett, Aline Nelson, Cleo Spurlock of Bogalusa, Willie Mae Peters of Milwaukee, WI., Bessie Davis of Monroe, LA. and Mary Nelson (Jimmy) of Grand Prairie.
