He was predeceased by: his father Rev. B. F. Middleton; his brother Michael "Micky" Middleton; and his grandson Austin Brown. He is survived by: his mother Verda Mae Jones Middleton; his children, Casey Middleton of Homer, LA and Kristen Brown (Justin) of Homer, LA; the mother of his children Janet Benson; his brothers, Bill Middleton (Diane) of Calhoun, LA, Dale Middleton (Kathy) of Calhoun, LA and Paul Middleton of Glenwood, AR; his grandchildren, Brantley Middleton, Jonesy Middleton, McKayla Middleton, Adisyn Brown and Rocky Ann Brown; and his caregivers, Courtney and Ericha. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers honoring Steven, his family suggests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society.
