He was predeceased by: his wife Doris Owens Eldridge; and his parents, Thomas S. Eldridge and Lena E. Eldridge. He is survived by: his children, Sandy Melton (Jimmy), Sarah Woodson, Jennifer Linder (Dan), Sammy Eldridge (Cindy) and Tommy Eldridge (Carol); his siblings-in-law, Peggy Craighead (Jimmy), Brenda Doran and Owens (Bertha); and his grandchildren, Laura Pruitt (Michael), Melanie Roose (Robert), Riley Melton, Niki Campanale (Tony), Trey Eldridge (Amanda), Tyler Eldridge (Lynnette), Jeremy Eldridge (Natalie), Daniel Woodson (Leesa), Emily Doyon (Frank), Leslie Turnbow (Casey) and Luke Linder. He is also survived by twenty great grandchildren.
