He was predeceased by: his parent Fred E. Brooks; and his siblings, Donald Lee Brooks and Anita Ford. He is survived by: his parent Jane Brooks; his sister Bonnie Williamson (Charles) of Benton; his nephew Michael Tasche (Veronica) of Bossier City; and his niece Michelle Smith (Trace) of Plain Dealing. He is also survived by five great-nieces and nephews.
