He was predeceased by : his parents, Orville D. "O. D." Cox and Dorothy Cox (Addison); his in-laws, Willie and Haskell Gray (Crabtree); and his brother Fred Cox (Sally).

He is survived by : his wife Renee Cox; his son Brandon Cox (Ava); his brother Judge Jeff Cox (Susan); his sister-in-law Joyce Gray Boliew (Jackie); and his pets, Rowdy, Percy James and Toby. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, June 26th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hill Crest Memorial Chapel (601 US-80, Haughton, LA 71037).

Memorial contributions may be made to Louisiana Baptist Children's Home, Samaritan's Purse or Shriners Hospital.
