He was predeceased by: his parents, Oliver "Jack" Horton and Elba Burkhalter Horton; his sister Janet Ruth Horton; his son-in-law Billy George Golihar; and his wife Sidney "Annette" McClure Horton.
He is survived by: his children, Tara Woodman (Mark), Jarrod Horton (Michele), Shawn Horton (Robyn), Melody Golihar and Chad Horton (Stephenie). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial gifts may be made to the Center for Medical Education at LSU Health Shreveport.
