She was predeceased by: her husband Leonard Verret; her son Keith Verret; her parents, Claude Sr. Hidalgo and Bernadette Hidalgo; and her siblings, Claude Hidalgo Jr., Evelyn Hymel and Merrick Hidalgo.

She is survived by: her children, Wendell Verret (Karen) and Darla Grisaffe (Burt); her grandchildren, Jared Verret, Ashlyn Simmers (Aaron), Jude Verret and B. J. Grisaffe; her great grandchild Baylor Grace Simmers; her siblings, Shirley Campesi, Theresa Campesi, Edward Hidalgo and Geralyn LeBoeuf; and her caregivers, Debbie, Laverne, Connie and Michelle.
