It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Geraldine Hodges Sternfels of Belle Rose, Louisiana, born in Thibodaux, Louisiana, who passed away on January 8, 2024, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Emile Robert Sternfels, Jr.; her parents, Olive Ayo Windham and W. H. Hodges; her siblings, Kay Aprill and Billy Hodges; and her grandparents, Ingo Heloise Ayo, Clyde and Sydney Hodges.
She is survived by: her daughters, Sue Benoit (Floyd), Donna Noel (Jack "Spike"), Laurie Dugruise (Scott), Bobbi Blanchard (Perry) and Beth Frey (Gerard); her grandchildren, Brandon Benoit, Eris Wiggins (Josh), Emilie Allen (Jacob), Ross Noel (Libby), Sam Sternfels, Taylor Dugruise, Austin Frey (MaryCatherine), Abbie Whatley (Tanner), Christian Frey (Lexi) and Bradley Benoit; her great grandchildren, Lilla Wiggins, Adler Wiggins, Linden Noel, Eleanor Noel, Noel, Emma Frey, Clint Allen, Miles Allen and Davis Whatley; her siblings, Leslie Windham and Dr. Russ Hodges; and her caregivers, Gwen Morris, Lois Sawyer, Nikki Meads, Alexis Boutin, Lasonya Truxillo and Carolyn Landry.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Elizabeth Church.
