He was predeceased by: his parents, Gladys Harris, and Ernest Harris, Sr.; his grandparents, Jake, Irene Dabney, Rose and Joseph Harris; his grandson Tyler Scott; and his siblings, Kentrell Harris and Brenda Burd.

He is survived by: his children, Duryea Harris, Lisa Morgan and Sabrina Harris; and his brother Roy Harris (Louise). He is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
