It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Delta Bourg Bailey Short of Belle Rose, Louisiana, who passed away on February 2, 2023, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father Dupree Bourg; her husbands, Huey Bailey and Voorhies Short; her sister Elta; her brother-in-law Eric Allemond; and her brother Atlas Bourg.

She is survived by: her children, Tammy Choplin (Joey), Sandra Fowler, Linda Haynes Sonia Olinde (Chris), Dawn Daigle (Tim), Huey Bailey, Timmy Bailey (Bonnie), Frank Bailey (Jennifer) and Johnny Short (Jessica); her grandchildren, Charlie, Nathan, Nick, Lindsey, Lil Joey, Jason, Jessica, Joe-Joe, Amber, Heather, Paige, Megan, Casey, Kayla, Kylie, Johnathan, Alyssa and Cristi; and her siblings, Elvina Bourg Cedotal, Albert Bourg (Alice) and Davis Bourg (Janet).
