Benson; his spouse Myrna Cooke Benson; his children, Tony Darrel Benson (Michelle) and Tammy Leigh Aguilar (Glenn); his granddaughters, Kaci Aguilar Treadaway (Chad), Kaleigh Aguilar Porcelli (Matthew), Kristen Benson Mastrianni (Jordan), Katelynn Benson and Kami Aguilar; and his siblings, Doris Lee Wiseman and Eldon Dewellan "Bud" Benson. He was also cherished by children who affectionately knew him as "Papa" as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
