It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Artemise Navarro Dowell (Belle Chasse, Louisiana), born in New Orleans, Louisiana, who passed away on May 11, 2019, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Captain Aubrey Dowell; her son Captain Don Navarro (Sylvia); her parents, Anthony Navarro and Gertrude "Dear" Mioton Navarro; and her brother Roland Navarro (Rosemary).
She is survived by: her children, Trudy Dowell, Kathie Coate (George) and Aubrey "Bud" Dowell; and her grandchildren, Marcie Coate, Stacie Hirsch Donna Tredenich (Randy), Laurie Delacruz, Greta Kraut (Robert) and Captain Don Navarro (Mechelle). She is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
