She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph and Thelma; and her stepfather Ollie Sistrunk (J. T. Hammonds). She is survived by: her children, Karen Denise Lites (Roger Lites), J. T. Hammonds Jr. (Neva Hammonds) and Elaine Young (Rickey Young); her grandchildren, Christopher Charles Wilkinson (Jennifer), Kelli Elizabeth Walker (Cory), Lindsay Taylor Savage (Jason), Jamie Abrahams (Travis), Jared Hammonds, Rachel Kennedy (BJ) and Garrett Young; and her great grandchildren, Mason Stevens, Landon Stevens, Eli Stevens, Dalton Walker, Penelope Savage, Scarlett Savage, Bailee Elliott, Bradley Elliott, Koen Abrahams, Kambel Abrahams, Mackenzie Hammonds, Mallorie Kennedy, Olivia Kennedy, Emory Young and Grayson Young.
A graveside service was held on Monday, September 9th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Forest Park (3700 St Vincent Ave, Shreveport, LA 71103).
