It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Morris Joseph Labit Jr. of Bayou Blue, Louisiana, born in Houma, Louisiana, who passed away on July 10, 2022, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Morris Labit Sr. and Eva Labit; and his siblings, Maybelle Burton, Virgie Gautreaux and Ruffin Labit.
He is survived by: his wife Audrey Cotton Labit; his children, Dennis Knight (Cynthia), Shanna Deroche (Kenny), Marty Labit (Francis) and Morey Labit (Lanie); his stepchildren, Brady LeBoeuf (Penny), Kathy Pitre, Tina Caballera (Steve) and Corey Pitre; his grandchildren, Aimee Cleland (Bo), Matthew Deroche (Jessica), Benjamin Deroche (Nikki), Marty Labit II, Michael Labit (Arlene), Mason Labit (Crysta), Cameron Labit and Abbie Labit; his stepgrandchildren, Joshua Sanchez (Cassie), Shawn Hebert, Hunter Coffman, Corey James Pitre Jr., Brooke Rodrigue and Hannah Hebert; his great grandchildren, Hope Cleland, Bailey Deroche, Jadeyn Carrizales, Greyson Deroche, Madelyn Labit and Leigha Labit; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Madison "Bug" Rodrigue and Nora Jean Sanchez; and his sister Eva Mazarac.
