He was predeceased by: his son Herbert "Herbie" Thibodaux, Jr.; his parents, Mack A. Thibodaux and Emma Prevost Thibodaux; and his siblings, Sadie Marie Thibodaux of Julie Lirette, Eddie Thibodaux and Ambrose A. Thibodaux.
He is survived by: his wife Elaine Hidalgo Thibodaux; his daughters, Heather Lynn Thibodaux and Angel D. Robichaux; his siblings, Lillian T. Firmature, Bernita T. Guidry, Gayle T. Naquin, Jeannie T. Carrere, Susan T. Gautreaux and Albert P. Thiboduax; and his grandchildren, Kyle Robichaux, Jayce Thibodaux, Irvin Alvis and Jaylynn Thibodaux.
