He is survived by: his wife Alice Whittaker Pierson; his children, Jennifer Nixon (Sam), Suzanne Salbador (Gordon) and Christopher Pierson (Nancy); and his sisters, Donna Pierson and Rebecca Pierson. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
