She was predeceased by: her parents, Clyde Emmitt Davis Sr. and Mary Hunter Davis; her grandmother Clementine Hunter; her brother Frankie Ray Hunter; her brother-in-law Edward Sewell Sr.; and her granddaughters, Latisha Richard and Alexis Revish-Thomas.
She is survived by: her husband Joe Jefferson Jr.; her children, Sharon Marie Banks (Antonio), Eric Jefferson (Desiree) and Darrell Jefferson (Deirdre); her siblings, Delores Sewell, Glenda Broddy (Jerry), Dorothy Johnson (James), Jerome Davis (Mary Alice), Clyde Emmitt Davis Jr. (Adlean), Clave Davis (Tracy) and Rudolph Davis (Velma); and her grandchildren, Chakesha Richard (Damon), Chantel Jefferson-Brooks (Ellis), Kevin Richard Jr. (Deven), Darrell Tremaine Jefferson, Darrell Jefferson and Corey Chinn. She is also survived by fifteen great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 27th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Second Baptist Church (914 N Acadian Thruway W, Baton Rouge, LA 70802). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 27th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
