He was predeceased by: his parents, William Milton McLain and Lura Burris McLain; his stepmother Oleta G. McLain; his sisters, Lorelle Wood Magee (William) and Ora Marie Fussell (Clyde); his wife Mildred P. McLain; and his stepson Stan Arnold.
He is survived by: his former wife Bonnie A. McLain; his sons, John P. McLain (Wendy) and W. Bruce McLain (Carmen); his grandchildren, Miranda L. McLain, Melissa Q. McLain, Benjamin Lopez and Rebecca Lopez; and his stepdaughters, Shelley Helouin (Randy) and Tanya Browning (Don). He is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, step grandchildren, and step great-grandchildren.
