He was predeceased by: his parents, Elbert Ward and Elma Day; and his brothers, Ottis G. Day and Lewis M. Day. He is survived by: his wife Pamela Day; his children, Kendall Day (Monica), Kevin Day (Lori), Kelton Day (Debbie) and Kristi Minton (Tony); his grandchildren, Brandon Day (Alyssa), Caleb Day (Ella Claire), Kade Day, Mckenzie Gosnell, Daisy, Maycee Day, Burkley and Waylon Minton; his great grandchildren, Mason, Evangeline Day and Colson Day; and his sister Ann Higgins (Mike).

Visitation was held on Saturday, September 14th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Seale Funeral Home (1720 S Range Ave, Denham Springs, LA 70726). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 14th 2024 at 5:00 PM at the same location.
