He was predeceased by: his wife Georgia Alice Edwards; and his parents, David Glen Edwards and Helen Marie Edwards. He is survived by: his children, Rachel Ann Edwards Thomas (Randy Thomas) of Highland Village, TX, David Glen Edwards II (Katie Greene Edwards) of Dallas, TX, Timothy Blake Edwards (Kelly Hicks Edwards) of Dallas, TX and Alice Leigh Edwards of Garland, TX; his grandchildren, Emma Grace Thomas, Hunter Timothy Thomas, Brooke Elizabeth Thomas, Madeleine May Edwards, David Richard Edwards, Georgia Helen Edwards and Margot Blake Edwards; his sisters, Dianne Edwards Brown (Greg) of Texarkana, AR and Jane Edwards Wiggins (Robert) of Abilene, TX; and his brothers-in-law, Dan Wallace Bacon, Jr. (Lorraine) of Palestine, TX, Rodney Tidwell Bacon (Lynn) of Kerrville, TX and William Alan Bacon (Cindy) of Harper, TX. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Southland Baptist Church (4300 Meadow Creek Trail, San Angelo, TX 76904). Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location.
