He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Hunt Lanius and Madge Gibson Lanius. He is survived by: his wife Sharon Randall Lanius; his children, Julia Claire Lanius Dinkel (Corey Dinkel) and Clark Lanius (Rachael Graham Lanius); his grandchildren, Louis, Lila, Adelaide Dinkel, Henry and Merritt Lanius; and his siblings, Necia Lanius (Jim Wade) and Norris Lanius.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 9th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Broadmoor United Methodist Church (10230 Mollylea Dr, Baton Rouge, LA 70815). A celebration of life was held on Monday, December 9th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, December 10th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Natchez City Cemetery.
Additionally, he was an integral member of the Krewe of Bacchus, donating many hours loading beads and trinkets to the floats and organizing friends and family from across the country to participate in the fun and merriment of Mardi Gras.
