With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sonia Thurmond of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, who passed away on January 15, 2022. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Roosevelt J. Taylor-Thurmond and Sandra I. Taylor-Thurmond; and her daughter Dionne M. Williams. She is survived by: her sisters, Katherine Thurmond-Harris and Jane F. Thurmond; her daughter Alicia M.; her godson Willie E. Scott; her grandchildren, Omarion T. Williams, Kenna Marie M. Williams and Kevin Allen, Jr.; and also Glenn M. Williams. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, all attendees are required to wear face masks and adhere to social distancing.
