He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Gilchrist and Lorine Gilchrist; and his siblings, Gayle Hawk, Delores Setton, Edna Tillie Gilchrist, Jerri Lynn Gilchrist and Ralph Lewis Gilchrist.
He is survived by: his brothers, Gene Gilchrist (Jewell), Ramsey Gilchrist (Judy) and Wayne Gilchrist; his close friend Eugene St; and his caregiver Andy Wikman.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Life Church (9036 Florida Blvd, Walker, LA 70785). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at the Red Oak Cemetery.
