He was predeceased by: his parents, Wendeline George and Alice Richard Weimer; his sister Anne Marie Weimer Zabel; his brother-in-law Dominic Congemi; and his granddaughter Caroline Ann Saunders.
He is survived by: his wife Judith Ann Meyn Weimer; his children, Richard George "Rick" Weimer, Jr. (Leslie) of Baton Rouge, Stephen Malcolm Weimer (Maria) of Metairie, Patrick Meyn Weimer (Colleen) of Mandeville, Karen Weimer Saunders (Henri) of Baton Rouge and Brian Joseph Weimer (Randy Roig) of New Orleans; his grandchildren, Allison, David, Lauren, Matthew, Catherine, Blake, Ann Marie, Rachel, James and Camille; and his siblings, Mary Alice W. Hebert (Bill) of New Orleans, Rita Mae W. Congemi of Metairie and John Patrick Weimer (Mary Jane) of Thibodaux. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
