It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Lee Powell of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, who passed away on January 22, 2022, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Edison Lee Powell and Margaret Louise Parise; and his brother Henry Lynn Powell (Sandi Queen Powell). He is survived by: his wife Bernice Stillwell Powell; his children, Monica Powell Robinson (William Brent Robinson) and Rusty Lee Powell (Lindsey Morgan King); his grandchildren, Olivia LeAnne Robinson, William Joseph Robinson, Layton Matthew Powell and Sutton Grace Powell; and his nephews, Scott Lynn Powell and Chad Shelton Powel. He is also survived by four great nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital his favorite charity, in lieu of flowers.
