“Lee Lacy was a truly bigger than life person in everything he did: As a director, as a wine connoisseur, maker and importer, as an art collector and dealer, and most of all as a friend. He was witty, droll, generous and kind to the greatest possible degree. His taste in everything he did was refined to the max. Some of my fondest memories of Lee were of going to wine tastings with him. He was an acknowledged authority throughout that industry and I always learned so much just from being him.”
