With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Myria Guerin Butler (Baton Rouge, Louisiana), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 8, 2024 at the age of 64. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, John Adam and Yvonne Andre Guerin; her parents-in-law, Elizabeth Sevario Butler and David Thomas Butler, Sr.; and also Agnes Guerin Burrows (Richard).

She is survived by: her husband David Thomas Butler, Jr.; her sons, David Thomas Butler, III (Jacqueline Coale Butler), John Stephen Butler and James Patrick Butler (Adele Wiggins Butler); her grandchildren, Therese Renee Butler, Cecilia Coale Butler, Lucille Yvonne Butler, James Paul Butler and Marie Frances Butler; her siblings, Simone Guerin Ginn (Mike), Jeanne Guerin Olinde (Chad), Andre Guerin (Fran) and Suzanne Guerin Kellerman (Jack); and her sister-in-law Elizabeth Birchey Butler.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to Catholic High School, St. Agnes Catholic Church, or St. Aloysius Catholic Church.
